Ice Cream Man is a 2026 American horror film written, directed, and produced by Eli Roth. The film stars Ari Millen, Benjamin Byron Davis, Karen Cliche, Dylan Hawco, and Sarah Abbott. Set in a peaceful suburban town during the summer, the story follows a series of horrifying events triggered by a mysterious ice cream vendor whose frozen treats unleash unimaginable chaos.
The quiet town of Bayleen Bay is thrown into panic when a mysterious ice cream man begins handing out free frozen treats to local children. What starts as an ordinary summer quickly turns into a nightmare as the children who eat the ice cream begin behaving in increasingly violent and disturbing ways.
As the town descends into chaos, desperate parents, law enforcement, and a handful of survivors race to uncover the truth behind the sinister vendor before the outbreak spreads any further. With every passing hour, the body count rises and the once-idyllic neighborhood becomes the scene of a terrifying fight for survival.
The movie is co-written by Eli Roth and Noah Belson, with Roth also producing alongside Christopher Woodrow, Raj Singh, and Kate Harrison. The film was shot in Hamilton, Ontario, during the summer of 2025. Brandon Roberts composed the score, while Simon Shohet handled cinematography and Matt Lyon served as editor. Snoop Dogg contributed original music to the soundtrack.
Known for films such as Hostel, Cabin Fever, and Thanksgiving, Roth has described Ice Cream Man as one of his most extreme horror projects to date. The film combines psychological horror, graphic violence, and dark satire, turning a familiar childhood symbol into the source of a town-wide nightmare.
Ice Cream Man is scheduled to be released in U.S. theaters on August 7, 2026, through Iconic Events Releasing. Information regarding digital and streaming releases has not yet been announced.
