Awarapan 2 2026

Awarapan 2 is an upcoming Hindi-language action romance film directed by Nitin Kakkar and written by Bilal Siddiqi. Produced by Vishesh Bhatt under his own production banner Vishesh Films, it is intended to be the comeback for Emraan Hashmi in the cult film industry, nearly two decades after he experienced huge success with his debut of Awarapan (2007). Disha Patani and Shabana Azmi are the other casts.

Awarapan 2 2026 Storyline

Shabana Azmi plays the main villain. Though the makers have not disclosed the full story, Awarapan 2 carries on the story of Shivam Pandit, a torn soul looking for salvation. The just launched teaser suggests that Shivam finds himself in hot waters again, engulfed by a violent vortex of love and pain. Yet, this description highlights that the sequel is more of an emotional follow-up to the original film as it is revealed to be “one man’s fight for love, death and redemption”.

Production Details

As the protagonist is put up against terrifying enemies and life-changing situations, the audience can look forward to the thematic elements of emotion, action and romance present in the previous film. Awarapan 2 is helmed by Nitin Kakkar with script penned by Bilal Siddiqi.

It is produced by Vishesh Bhatt. Mukesh Bhatt is the presenter of the film with Vishesh Films being the banner. The shooting of the film concluded in June 2026 released for Independence Day weekend. The sequel has garnered a lot of excitement by far with the official teaser of the first one unveiled on June 29 2026 marking the 19 th anniversary of the original. The teaser also revealed the comeback of Shivam Pandit and also introduced Disha Patani. Fans seem pleased with the emotional feel of the franchise, while anticipating for its music and action sequences. 

Release Date & Where to Watch

Awarapan 2 cinema release date is on 14 August 2026. It will have an only in Theaters release and the OTT and digital streaming release date has not yet been announced.
