Production Details

Kattalan is directed by debutant Paul George, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Joby Varghese and Jero Jacob, while the dialogues were penned by Unni R. The film is produced by Shareef Muhammed under Cubes Entertainments. Renadive handled the cinematography, and Shameer Muhammed served as editor. The songs were composed by B. Ajaneesh Loknath, while Ravi Basrur composed the background score after joining the project in 2026. Principal photography began in Thailand and later moved to locations including Vagamon, Kollam, Colombo, Dhanushkodi, Tirunelveli, and Rameswaram. The movie was shot using Sony VENICE 2 8K cameras and features action sequences mounted on a large scale.
