Summer House takes a familiar time-travel concept and grounds it in family relationships rather than science-fiction spectacle. The story follows Selin, a young woman whose life has reached a breaking point. While staying at a summer house connected to her family’s history, she unexpectedly finds herself transported into the past and comes face-to-face with a younger version of her mother, Zeynep. Suddenly given a chance to witness the choices that shaped her family, Selin begins questioning whether changing the past could repair the mistakes that continue to affect the present.
Mina Demirtaş leads the film as Selin, carrying much of the emotional weight as the character navigates two different timelines. Selma Ergeç plays Zeynep, while Derya Pınar Ak portrays the younger version of the character, creating an interesting dynamic that allows the audience to see how time and experience reshape a person. Onur Seyit Yaran and Nehir Erdoğan round out the principal cast in roles tied to Selin’s search for answers.
Director Erdem Tepegöz avoids turning Summer House into a conventional romance or fantasy adventure. The mystery surrounding the house itself creates intrigue, but the real focus remains on family bonds and personal growth. The coastal setting gives the film a warm visual identity, while the restrained storytelling allows the emotional moments to stand on their own.
Summer House premiered digitally on June 6, 2026. The Turkish drama was released through Prime Video in supported regions, making it available to audiences immediately upon launch rather than following a theatrical rollout. Viewers interested in family-focused dramas with a touch of mystery and romance can currently stream the film on the platform where available.
